Deus Ex: Human Revolution ‘Missing Link’ DLC “Approximately Five Hours Long”

You could tell by the size of Deux Ex: Human Revolution’s DLC, “Missing Link” that the downloadable expansion was going to pack some serious gameplay. According to Eidos Montreal, “The Missing Link is approximately five hours long, but as always that varies depending on your playstyle and completionist urges.” At 1.5 GB, the Missing Link download will fill in holes in the main game’s plot, detailing where Adam Jensen vanishes to for three days.

As per the official description: “After being tortured by Belltower agents and having his augmentations disabled, Adam Jensen must rely solely on his basic capabilities to escape from a freighter, destined for an unknown location. While fighting for his survival on the ship, he uncovers another layer to the conspiracy that he never would have suspected. As Adam, gamers will befriend new, mysterious allies and fight ruthless enemies to discover what was happening in the shadows during the events.”

Perhaps the bigger news is that this upcoming DLC won’t be integrated to the game’s primary narrative. This means’ you won’t have an option available allowing you to reset your augmentations.

Eidos marketing head David Bedard confirmed, “The Missing Link will not feature in the main game narrative, and your augmentation set in the Missing Link will not carry over to the main game after you’ve completed it. While game play-wise the Missing Link is not tied back in to the main game, narratively, you will find out things that will shed some much needed light on some the shadier sections of the Human Revolution world.”
