Four More DLC Additions Coming to Castlevania HD

Castlevania HD is one of the worst best games you can buy on XBLA, with more than a few players (including myself) having put 30+ hours into the game. Konami, undoubtedly motivated by the game’s surprisingly solid sales, has been unleashing a steady supply of new content recently, the next four of which will see release across this Wednesday and next Wednesday.

Two characters and two new stages will be released, but these are retro throwbacks, complete with pixelated graphics a la the old NES titles. It will be interesting to see how everything (Soma, Alucard, etc.) fits into this new (old) visual style, but it’s nice to see Konami trying something different. Still, the complete Castlevania HD experience is getting extremely expensive, and without any new achievements, I haven’t felt compelled to return in quite some time.
