MAC SHIPS TO RETAIL STORES NATIONWIDE

To Ship in November
Following the successful debut of
Guitar Hero® III: Legends of Rock on the PC and Mac, Aspyr Media and Activision
Publishing, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATVI) have once again teamed up to bring computer
gamers their rock fix with Guitar Hero®: Aerosmith®, which shipped to stores
nationwide today. Featuring more than 40 new tracks for PC and Mac gamers to
shred, Guitar Hero: Aerosmith features legendary songs from America’s Greatest
Rock ‘N Roll Band: Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Brad Whitford, Tom Hamilton and Joey
Kramer and iconic jams from renowned artists that have performed with Aerosmith
or inspired the band in some way. The second installment of the top-selling
Guitar Hero® franchise for computers lets gamers experience Aerosmith’s GRAMMY®
winning career in a way no other entertainment vehicle offers.
In addition to launching a
stand-alone version of Guitar Hero: Aerosmith today, Aspyr will also ship a
bundle pack that includes both Guitar Hero: Aerosmith and the 2007 smash hit
Guitar Hero® III: Legends of Rock on November 3. The bundle will offer PC and
Mac gamers more than 110 tracks to shred on their computers.

Guitar Hero: Aerosmith brings these
quintessential rock legends to the interactive realm to create the ultimate
gaming experience. As fans progress through their careers in the game, they can
rock out to scores of Aerosmith’s greatest hits including various tracks
re-mastered by the legendary band for Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, as well as songs
from celebrated artists that the band has either performed with or has been
inspired by in some way. Highlighting the list of celebrated artists is an
in-game guest appearance from one of the pioneers of hip-hop and kings of rock,
Darryl “DMC” McDaniels. Venues from historical moments during the band’s
illustrious career offer the experience of “sweet emotion” and further capture
the essence of the band’s rise to fame.
Guitar Hero: Aerosmith for PC and
Mac was developed by Aspyr Studios and is available for a SRP of $39.99. Guitar
Hero: Aerosmith and Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock bundle will ship November 3
for a SRP of $79.99. Both games are rated T for Teen by the ESRB.
