Madden NFL 12 – Jaguars and Titans Ratings

Today, ESPN has revealed the ratings for two more teams: the Tennessee Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars. With each team having a top 5 running back in the NFL, these two AFC teams will try to grind the ball into the end zone on the ground. Unfortunately, both of these teams offer little more than a top 5 running back.

Jacksonville Jaguars: 75 overall
The Jacksonville Jaguars always seem like they are in a constant rebuilding stage. Aside from Maurice Jones-Drew (95 overall, 94 speed, 95 acceleration), there isn’t much else to be excited for with this team. THey have a stellar tight end in Marcedes Lewis (90 overall, 90 catching), but you have to wonder who is going to get him the ball. David Garrard is rated a sub-par 83 overall with only 80 throwing accuracy. It doesn’t get much better on defense for the Jaguars who post only one player with an overall of 90+. MLB Daryl Smith (90 overall, 93 tackling, 88 awareness, 94 pursuit, 92 block shedding) is the only bright spot on a very weak defense. View the complete roster for the Jacksonville Jaguars here.

Tennessee Titans: 73 overall
It wasn’t long ago when the Titans were at least considered mediocre. Now they are the bottom dwellers of the AFC South with an overall team rating of 73. The only reason to play as this team is for Chris Johnson. Johnson’s 99 speed, 99 acceleration, and 98 agility might be enough to convince you to select the Titans, but don’t expect help at the other positions. Kenny Britt leads the receiving corps with 86 overall, 88 speed, and only 86 catching. The current roster still has Vince Young on the roster, but expect that to change with the launch day update. Expect to win by field goals with kicker Rob Bironas (96 kicking power, 93 kicking accuracy). View the complete roster for the Tennessee Titans here.

Bottom line: there’s not much to be excited about when playing as either of these teams. You have to be a die hard fan of these teams to enjoy playing a game as them.
