Mountain Dew Partners with Activision for MW3 Double XP Promotion

As Modern Warfare 3 looms ever so close to its mega-release, Activision is pumping as much advertising into the title as possible to get people to buy day one. Today the publisher has announced that they have partnered with Mountain Dew to offer MW3 Double XP codes on select Mountain Dew bottles.

“Our fans know that when DEW does something, we go big – and there is no bigger entertainment property than Call of Duty, so we are thrilled to partner with Activision to launch the newest editions of these two iconic brands,” Said Brett O’Brien, Mountain Dew’s vice president of marketing. “Moreover, with this partnership we get to make sure that Mountain Dew fuels both the fans and their Call of Duty gameplay while they play Modern Warfare 3.”

Starting October, consumers will be able to purchase MW3 Mountain Dew bottles; select bottles will feature a code for a period of double XP time. Since the game does not release until November, players will have a chance to compile as codes as possible to help them rank up in multiplayer.
