Testing for Skyrim PC Specs "Going to Run Into Tomorrow"
Last week, Bethesda's VP of Marketing and PR Pete Hines announced that the PC specs for Skyrim would be detailed Monday, "if all goes well."
Looks like it didn't go well as no PC requirements were released. Pete Hines apologized on Twitter today stating, "Testing for PC specs is going to run into tomorrow. Sorry, I tried. Shouldn't have given a timeframe without being sure. Apologies."
Pete, never give gamers timeframes. EVER. Because we will hold you to it. The VP of PR was hounded by fans all day asking when Bethesda is going to reveal the PC requirements. Eventually it began to wear on Pete who tweeted, "What's the number of times I have to answer that question in a four-hour period before people stop asking?"
Sorry, Pete, but you did it to yourself.
Well, looks like gamers planning on getting Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on PC will have to wait at least one more day to find out if their current rig can handle it.
In the meantime, we do have a little something about PC specs to hold you over. When asked by a follower if his current PC setup maxed Fallout: New Vegas, "would it max Skyrim, or at least run it well?" Pete responded, "Should run it well."
There you have it. So far we know that if you ran Fallout: New Vegas on max, you should run it well, but maybe not on max settings. I wonder if "well" means normal settings.
