Lollipop Chainsaw writer drops some sexy details about Juliet Starling

Slither writer and director James Gunn revealed some sexy, new details about Juliet Starling – the star of Suda51's latest game Lollipop Chainsaw.  Gunn, who is also the writer/director for Lollipop Chainsaw gave some background information about the sexy 18-year old cheerleader caught in the middle of a zombie outbreak.

IGN recently interviewed Gunn about a casting competition for the face of Lollipop Chainsaw.  Aside from contest details on how to become Juliet Starling, Gunn also talked about the actual game and why fans will enjoy it.

"I think that Lollipop Chainsaw is a very different gaming experience," said Gunn.  "I imagine it's like Dawn of the Dead meets the Powerpuff girls.  It's the first game to combine crazy, intense gore with pretty rainbows.  And nice fluffy hearts with decapitations."

If you read my preview of the game from PAX or seen any trailers for the game, then you'd know this is a pretty accurate statement.  But aside from gameplay, Lollipop Chainsaw and Juliet Starling offers gamers something aside from gore – and that is sex appeal.

"Who doesn't want to have a beautiful, young 18-year old cheerleader with lots of upskirt shots in the middle of zombie carnage?" Gunn asked.

"I think Juliet Starling is a very interesting character.  She loves everything she does, even if it means disemboweling one of her fellow students who is now a zombie," Gunn explained.  "She has an innocence about her that's completely unique."

Gunn also explained how Juliet is able to conquer the hordes of zombies she encounters.

"Juliet's family has been fighting supernatural beings for generations, so to her it's second nature."

Lollipop Chainsaw is currently slated for a release in 2012, but the exact date has not yet been announced.
