NewsMortal Kombat for Vita will feature a second Challenge Tower
When news broke out that Mortal Kombat was set to release for the PlayStation Vita, it was pretty cool. After all, this is easily one of the best fighters to come along in years, if not the best. Plus, with its impressive graphical capabilties, the Vita just seems like an appropriate platform for the game.
Some more news about Mortal Kombat popped up courtesy of NetherRealm Studios Creative Director Ed Boon. In a post on the PlayStation Blog, Boon hinted at some of the game's upcoming features on the Vita. One of the coolest new additions regards the Challenge Tower.
As mentioned by Boon himself, Mortal Kombat will include the original Challenge Tower in its Vita release, but it will also feature a second Challenge Tower. This addition will include an extra 150 objectives to play through. Boon also confirmed that a number of these would utilize all of the Vita's hardware features.
I'm interested in seeing how the new Challenge Tower plays. Personally, I'm really wondering how the touchscreen will be used to change things up a bit in these Challenges. Mortal Kombat is definitely shaping up to be one of the many titles to watch out for on the Vita. Expect it in spring 2012.
