Last Guardian ‘will ship when it’s ready’… ya don’t say?

Remember that Team Ico project, The Last Guardian? Ya know, the one twith the giant Never Ending Story-looking griffon thing in it. Well Sony recently made some comments as to when it will ship.

According to CVG, and through an interview with Gamespot (because that's how the video game industry works; it's the best recycling you've ever seen), PlayStation software developement head Scott Rohde made the following comments:

I will not give you a detailed update, but I will say one thing and it goes back to innovation and to gamers and to quality. That title is going to ship when it's absolutely ready.

I would hope that would be the case for every game. Why would a company release a game that isn't ready? Then again, judging by day one patches and DLC, along with numerous bugs that come with games, I guess shipping when ready isn't always the case. Scott Rohde added another comment when Gamespot decided that answer wouldn't do, and he said:

It's going to ship at sometime, and it's going to ship when it's ready. And I think that's a really important thing to remember, is that it would be very easy to ship a game when it's not quite ready because we need to meet a businees plan.

That's not adding anything. That's simply saying the same thing… again.

To read more of the interview, head over to Gamespot, where they ask Scott about PlayStation Smash Bros., Ellen Page's quest to appear in every Sony video game, the Wonderbook (and if they tested it before E3), and other Sony stuff.
