‘Terminal’ map release date for Modern Warfare 3 announced for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC still TBD

Modern Warfare 2 map, Terminal, will officially be added to the Xbox 360 version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 on July 17 for paid Call of Duty Elite members. For non-Elite members, it will be made available on July 18.

The PS3 and PC dates for when Terminal will arrive are still to be determined. When Rubin first announced that the Terminal map would be coming to MW3, he said that they'd have to maintain the 30 day release difference between the Xbox 360 and other platforms. At E3, Microsoft announced that all DLC for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will also launch first on Xbox 360.

What's this, another free piece of content for Modern Warfare 3 players!? First we get Faceoff and a bunch of new maps to go along with it, and now we get one of my all-time favorite Call of Duty maps? What is Activision thinking?

"Terminal is a fan favorite map that we are giving away for FREE. It's not a part of the content calendar so isn't one of the maps shown," said Infinity Ward's executive producer Mark Rubin.

"Plus the content calendar is wrong at the moment anyway. There is more coming than what's posted there," he added.

More free maps perhaps? According to the content calendar, there are seven more Elite Drops that will span through September 2012. By then, I'm sure we'll all be looking forward to Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.
