Looks like we’re getting a ‘Prometheus’ sequel

Despite what you thought of Prometheus, I want there to be a sequel. The prequel to Alien deserves a sequel, especially with all the unanswered questions that need clarification. When Ridley Scott decided to head back into the Alien universe with Prometheus, he envisioned it as more than one movie.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fox and Ridley Scott are moving forward with a follow-up. Michael Fassbender and Noomi Rapace are already signed for another movie, and they're talking to new writers because Damon Lindelof might not be available to work on the sequel. Prometheus made $303 million globally on a $130 million budget. Both critics and audiences alike were torn, with some having a lot of problems with the questions and actions in the movie, while others loved the mystery. And Prometheus definitely ended in a way that a sequel can happen.

Fox president of production Emma Watts said, "Ridley is incredibly excited about the movie, but we have to get it right. We can't rush it."

I for one am looking forward to a sequel and answers to all the questions I have. Enough theory-crafting. A Prometheus sequel would be expected to release in 2014 or 2015.
