Sony toys with our emotions, claims The Last Guardian is still in development

It has been quite a rollercoaster ride of emotions for fans that have been eagerly following the Sony exclusive, The Last Guardian. There have already been numerous claims of the game being canceled, and then not being canceled again. What's the deal?

In a recent interview with Eurogamer, Shuhei Yoshida stated that "The team is still working on it very hard,' and that there are "technical issues" that Team Ico has been trying to push through. "That's the period of time when the game, looking from the outside, doesn't seem to be making much progress."

The Last Guardian hasn't been seen for a while, missing all of this year's expos, which lead many to believe, and with good reason, that the game just wasn't being made. Even more so given the fact that Fumito Ueda apparently left Sony, though it was stated he was still working on the game. To top it all off, Sony has abandoned The Last Guardian trademark earlier this year as well.

Despite the time it's taking to develop the game, Yoshida stated that the game is still being developed for the PS3 and not next gen hardware, so conspiracy theorists thinking it's being pushed back for the PS4, you might want to calm down.
