NewsWWE '13 roster revealed with plans for DLC
As expected THQ announced the roster for WWE '13. As part of the SummerSlam festivities THQ revealed which current WWE superstars and divas will be featured in the game along with some of the past legends from the "Attitude Era".
The list is quite lengthy and includes both current and former greats. So why the old timers? WWE '13's story mode focuses on the Attitude Era, the shift to a more edgier form of content that ultimately led a rise in power of the WWE (known then as WWF). Spanning from roughly 1997 to 2002, the Attitude Era included many iconic moments like the rise of D-Generation X and the feud between Vince McMahon and Stone Cold Steve Austin.
Now that the Attitude Era is described, let's take a look at the current roster of wrestlers that will appear in WWE '13. You'll notice some wrestlers overlap in lists. This is because they were wrestling in the Attitude Era and are still active today. Hopefully their costumes and entrances are changed to reflect this.
You'll also notice a few favorites are missing from the list. As WWE '13 creative director Cory Ledesma described, this could be because there are plans to add them at a later date via DLC.
