NewsHalo 4: Forward Unto Dawn introduces you to the Hastati Squad
Halo 4's live-action web mini-series, Forward Unto Dawn, is just a week away from its premiere. Set to air on October 5, 2012, Microsoft has been teasing us with short trailers about the various elements in the Halo universe. Today, they've released another new trailer.
Titled "Squad", todays video introduces you to the newest members of the 2529 Corbulo Academy of MIlitary Science's Hastati Squad. You'll meet the different members and find out what led each of them to the UNSC. Taking place before the start of the human-Covenant War, the military's main concern is the civil war taking place on colonial planets against the insurrectionists.
One of these recruits, *hint* Thomas Laskey, is about to have his future shaped by the events that play out in the series. As you watch the series you'll see how Laskey becomes inspired by Master Chief leading to his eventual position as commander aboard the UNSC Infinity in Halo 4.
The entire series will consist of five episodes that will air weekly on the Halo Waypoint website as well as on Machinima. At its conclusion, each episode, roughly 15 minutes in length, will be collected, along with 15 minutes of additional footage, into a 90-minute feature film and released on DVD, Blu-ray, and in digital stores. Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn is set to premiere on October 5, 2012.
