Call of Juarez: Gunslinger is getting a reveal trailer next week, but here’s a nice tease

I heard you like trailers, so Ubisoft has released a trailer to tease an upcoming trailer that will formally reveal their new game, Call of Juarez: GunslingerPersonally, I hate when companies do this sort of thing, but it serves the purpose of increasing hype leading up to a reveal — so whatever…

We first heard about Call of Juarez: Gunslinger back in September 2012 when Ubisoft released a live-action teaser. Unlike Call of Juarez: The Cartelwhich attempted to bring a western feel to a modern day setting, Call of Juarez: Gunslinger will return to the roots of the series — the Wild West.

Like that trailer, today's teaser doesn't reveal too much about the game, except that it will center around the story of Silas Greaves. Based on what we've already heard about the game, he's a bounty hunter who is tasked with taking down the most notorious outlaws, including Billy the Kid, Pat Garrett, and Jesse James. The story is said to be linked to the history of the Wild West era: a mix of myths and history facts.

We also know the game will see the return of the series' Concentration Mode, but this time with a twist. Now players are able to unleash a flurry of bullets while dodging others. Gunslinger will also introduce a skill system for players to acquire new abilities, a first for the Call of Juarez series.

The official reveal trailer is set to debut on March 14, 2013. Once again developed by Techland and published by Ubisoft, Call of Juarez: Gunslinger has a target release of Q1 2013 for Xbox LIVE, PlayStation Network, and PC.
