Gas Powered Games working on unannounced PC game for Wargaming

Wargaming isn't quite ready to reveal what the recently acquired Gas Powered Games is working on yet, but we do have a better idea as to the type of game thanks to studio head Chris Taylor. Gas Powered Games is working on a prototype for a new free-to-play MMO title that looks to be released for PC. Of course, for anyone who is a fan of Wargaming, you'll already realize the free-to-play MMO fits the company's mold perfectly. In terms of what the actual game is, your guess is as good as ours.

Taylor did talk a little about the studio's acquisition, which he described as a "ship wreck on an island that no one's discovered full of treasure and gold."

"First of all you're really upset that your captain can't navigate, that your rudder broke, or whatever the reason was — the storm, we'll blame the storm. But the storm that we survived absolutely delivered us to a great destination," he said, referring to Wargaming acquiring Gas Powered Games.

Gas Powered Games is best known for acclaimed franchises such as Dungeon Siege, Supreme Commander, and Demigod. Wargaming, in an effort to expand to other platforms, also purchased Day 1 Studios which has already confirmed to be working "exclusively on the development of an unannounced console title." At GDC this week, Wargaming also unveiled their latest mobile game, World of Tanks Blitz.
