The Last of Us getting new ‘Interrogation’ multiplayer mode

The Last of Us will be getting an all-new multiplayer mode for free as part of the game's upcoming patch 1.03. The new mode is called "Interrogation" and your goal is to interrogate your enemies to find their lockbox and steal the supplies your faction needs to supply.

Interrogations begin by performing special executions or getting shiv kills. Your team must pull off a cumulative total of five interrogations in order to get enough information to locate their lockbox. Interrogations take longer than normal executions or shiv kills and can even be interrupted in the middle of the process.

When your team reaches the interrogation goal, the lockbox will be revealed; your team will then reach the second stage of this mode. At this point, it becomes a sort-of attack-and-defend mode as the team that has successfully interrogated must now put the clues together to locate the lockbox while the other team plans a strategy to defend it. The defending team can still get its own interrogations so that it may also enter the second stage.

Other improvements in the patch include increased revive range, balance adjustments to item caches on maps, fixed bugs with intro cameras, and tweaks to matchmaking, along with a few other changes that you can see in the video below.
