The PlayStation 4, What’s in the box?!

So you're thinking of picking up a PlayStation 4 at launch, and you're thinking to yourself, "What the heck comes in the box? Does it come with a second controller? Do I buy a headset?" Well young chap, you've come to the right place. Here are all the things you'll get in the box and then some.

The box will contain the PlayStation 4 console, equipped with a 500GB hard drive, one Dualshock 4 wireless controller, a Micro-USB cable to charge the controller, a mono headset for voice chat, a power cable and an HDMI cable.

Boom! Mindblowing right?

Next lets look at the console itself. It will include a HDMI out, Digital Audio out, Ethernet, two USB 3.0 ports, and an auxiliary connector reserved for the PS Camera. Inside the system you'll gave the 802.11 b/g/n Wifi as well as a Bluetooth 2.1 which allows the Dualshock 4 to connect to the system.

But wait, 500GB? Isn't that a little small?

If it's too small for you, the good news is that you can upgrade it with any hard drive that fits the correct specifications, much like the PS3 allowed. The PS4 comes equipped with a 5400 RPM SATA II hard drive and this can be replaced as long as the replacement is not thicker than 9.5mm, and is larger than 160GB. The PS4 does not allow the use of external hard drives.
