These days, I guess it's possible to gamble on just about anything. And if I were a gambling man, I'd bet on the PlayStation 4 outselling the Xbox One this holiday season. Outside of everything we've heard from analysts and retailers, online bookmaker Paddy Power has established the PS4 as its favorite to be the best-selling console of 2013.
The bookmaker shortened its odds on the PS4 to 1/8, while odds on the Xbox One winning fell from 11/4 to 9/2. So if you expect the upset, bet big on Xbox One where the payout will net you $4.50 for every $1 bet.
"It's been all one way traffic in the betting," stated a Paddy Power spokesperson. "It looks as though it's game over for Xbox in the eyes of our punters at least."
On the software front, Paddy expects Call of Duty: Ghosts to claim the Christmas-favorite crown again. Here are the odds they've played on games:
- 1/5 – Call Of Duty: Ghosts
- 4/1 – FIFA 2014
- 5/1 – Grand Theft Auto V
- 20/1 – Batman: Arkham Origins
- 25/1 – Assassins Creed IV
