To the Moon creator Kan "Reives" Gao has released a special holiday "minisode" for those awaiting the launch of prequel game A Bird Story, which was due in 2013.
The "lighthearted" minisode stars characters Dr. Watts and Dr. Rosalene and is available to download for free on developer Freebird Games' website or through a Steam update, if you own that version. It's only 20 minutes long and has no save feature, so you'll have to power through in one sitting.
"It’s not much, but I hope you guys enjoy it! Consider it a free DLC, heheh," Gao wrote.
Gao also apologized for the delay in releasing A Bird Story, the prequel to To the Moon 2.
"To be honest, I don’t really know when exactly it’ll be finished," he wrote. "It’s not that long of a game at all, but there are things in it that I’m just still trying to figure out. It’s also something that means a lot to me personally, and I don’t want to compromise how it turns out."
To the Moon debuted on PC in 2011.
