Microsoft planning Xbox One announcements for ‘great’ E3 2014

We're months away from this year's E3, but that isn't stopping gamers from looking ahead. It's been a quiet month for the Xbox One; following its November release, Microsoft's next-gen system has seen very few games released. And with its launch lineup assumably exhuasted, early adopters are beginning to wonder what's next.

"We will have announces in 2014, already working on the plan," Microsoft Studios head Phil Spencer said in response to a fan asking about the next Xbox One event and whether there are still unannounced exclusives.

"I want to have a great E3 this year," he added, perhaps indicating that will be the next major event.

What's interesting is that Spencer didn't indicate whether these would be announcements for games we already know about or new reveals. Looking through the catalog of upcoming Xbox One games, there's still a few of already-announced games that Microsoft likely has plans to elaborate on at E3 this summer — Sunset Overdrive, Quantum Break, and the new Halo to name a few. But will we see any more exclusives at the annual trade show?
