February is Battlefield 4 Player Appreciation Month

As a way of saying "thank you" to those who have stuck through DICE and Battlefield 4 during these troubling past few months, the developer is hosting a "Battlefield 4 Player Appreciation Month." Starting Saturday, February 1, and running through the entire month, DICE will thank players with community missions and daily giveaways for simply jumping into a match. So what can you expect?

For starters, every day that you log into Battlefield 4 you will receive a Bronze or Silver Battlepack. These packs typically contain bonuses like XP Boosts, weapon attachments, and soldier camos. During weekdays, you will be rewarded with Bronze packs, and during Saturday and Sundays you will get Silver packs. Gold Battlepacks will also be made available and can be attained through global DICE Community Missions (community-wide challenges).

Additionally, two shortcut bundles will also be available for download at no cost. These will allow you to voluntarily unlock all grenades and handguns for the base game. For Premium users, you'll receive two additional weapon shortcuts to unlock DMR's and shotguns.

February will also see a double XP weekend event for all players, with Premium members getting an additional double XP weekend as a bonus.

Unfortunately, there was no talk of discounted Premium membership or the arrival of Second Assault on additional platforms (currently available only on Xbox One). Apparently, DICE doesn't appreciate us that much.
