Flappy Bird creator Don Nguyen has confirmed that his painfully difficult mobile game will return to the iTunes and Google Play stores from which it was removed.
Flappy Bird, a game in which you must navigate a stupid little bird through Mario-like pipes, quickly rose to the top of both stores' respective charts, but was mysteriously removed in mid-February. Nguyen later went on to say the game's "addictive nature" is what led to its removal. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Nguyen recalled emails and messages he had received from people blaming him and the game for ruining their lives. At the time of the interview, he said the game could make a return, but with a warning message reminding players to "Please take a break."
It now appears that "could" has turned into a definitely will — "but not soon," he says.
@painfullpacman Yes. But not soon.
