U.S. PS Plus: Here are your free PS4, PS3, and Vita games for May 2014

Sony has announced the lineup of free games for PlayStation Plus members for the month of May. The list includes Stick it to the Man!, Puppeteer, Pro Evolution Soccer 2014, Skullgirls Encore, Limbo, and Surge Deluxe. This list applies to PlayStation Plus subscribers in the United States. To see what's free in Europe, go here.

PS4

On the PS4, we'll be getting Stick it to the Man!, a humorous platforming adventure game from developer Zoink!. In the game, you play as Ray, who awakes from a coma in a strange world with a giant pink spaghetti arm sticking out of his brain. Aside from the weird look, this arm gives him awesome powers, allowing him to change the world around him by folding it, tearing it, pulling stickers off and sticking them elsewhere.

PS3

To help pass the time until this summer's World Cup, PS3 owners will be getting Pro Evolution Soccer 2014. PS3 will also be getting Skullgirls Encore, the re-release (caused by a change of publisher) of Lab Zero Games 2D fighter. A name change isn't all that's different though; with the re-release comes hundreds of gameplay and balance tweaks, a new "Drama" meter that keeps combos from getting too long, an expanded training mode, new stages, and five free DLC characters (one of which has already been released). The last game for PS3 will be Puppeteer, a uniquely themed game that delivers a "magical fairy tale experience with a sinister backdrop all played out in a theatrical world where the environment is constantly chaning." You take on the role of a young boy named Kutaro who is carried away by the evil Moon Bear King to a black castle and is transformed into a puppet. Armed with a special pair of scissors that he finds, he sets off on an adventure to head home.

PS Vita

Finally, your free PS Vita games for the month include Surge Deluxe and Limbo. In Surge Deluxe, you'll chain colored blocks together to rack up points. It's not that easy though. You'll need to clear off the board before too much pressure builds in the surrounding pipes. And lastly, Vita owners will get Limbo, a stylized puzzle platformer that evokes a feeling of mystery and dread. In the game, you explore a creepy world as a boy looking for his sister.
