Diablo 3’s Legendary item drop boost is now permament

Last week, in celebration of Diablo 3's second anniversary, Blizzard implemented a 100% boost to every player's chance of finding Legendary items. Though the boost was only supposed to be temporary, ending today at 5:00am PDT, Blizzard took to the forums today to announce that the increased Legendary drop rate will stay in place permanently.

"Due to the overwhelming popularity of our Anniversary buff we have decided to keep the increased Legendary drop rate once the Anniversary celebration ends," wrote designer Travis Day. "Once the buff is disabled [this morning], you will find that the new base line drop rates for Legendary items will be the same as those you have all enjoyed for the last week."

Most seem happy with the change, though I'm sure there will always be a few sour grapes who complain about the game catering to dirty casuals. You'll find no complaints here.
