Alien: Isolation officially goes Gold

Creative Assembly officially announced that their survival horror game, Alien: Isolation, has gone gold. Since the release is less than a month away, on October 7, 2014, this doesn't come as a big surprise.

With this announcement, Creative Assembly also showed off a new trailer, which we posted earlier today, which showcases the hopelessness that the game is trying to instill in gamers.

However, there are many more trailer on the way, under the #HOWWILLYOUSURVIVE campaign, which will showcase skills that players will need to utilize, if they hope to survive the alien threat on board the Sevastopol.

Alien: Isolation is trying to evoke the terror that viewers felt when watching Ridley Scott's original masterpiece, Alien. And while its sequels were considered to be action movies, the original still remains a sci-fi horror classic, and the team at Creative Assembly is trying to stay true to that.

The game did impress us at E3, and did manage to get a few screams out of our very own, Matt Liebl. You can check out our full hands-on preview right here.
