Apparently, PSN users love Destiny’s microtransactions

Spend that money, spend it all on emotes.

When Bungie first introduced the concept of 'Silver' in Destiny, the community was understandably wary. Silver, is the new completely optional in-game currency that allows players to purchase various emotes or whatever seasonal item Bungie wishes to offer (like the Halloween masks).

Despite the wariness of the community, it looks like Destiny players have embraced the microtransactions – at least on PlayStation consoles. If you head to the PlayStation Store and look at what is selling the best, you'll find Destiny: The Taken King nestled in the #1 position of the store's Top Add-Ons, under that you'll find Desiny's Silver packages and Black Ops DLC.

The two most purchased Silver bundles for Destiny on PlayStation consoles is the 2000 Silver pack and 1000 Silver pack which are priced at $19.99 and $9.99, respectively. When it comes to Microsoft's Xbox console's it's hard to say how the sales are doing across both platforms for Destiny's Silver. What we can say is this – over the past week on the Xbox One, Titanfall has sold more Season Passes than Destiny users have purchased Silver

Of course, the Halo 5 microtransactions have trumped all other add-on purchases.
