Video game movies don't typically work out. It's almost a curse at this point. But that doesn't stop Adi Shankar, the producer of the upcoming unnamed Castlevania animated show for Netflix, from expressing his desire to see more. How about Mega Man?
Not only does Shankar want a Mega Man movie, but he wants it to be rated-R. As crazy as the idea sounds, Shankar was the producer of Lone Survivor, Dredd, and The Grey, so the film scene is not new to him.
Would a rated-R Mega Man look more like a cyberpunk dystopian future? Or would he just be robot Dredd. Come to think of it, that sounds awesome…
This crazy idea is actually par for the course with Shankar, because there's one more thing he's done: That Power Rangers fan film from 2015 that was on YouTube. That was him. Rated-R Mega Man just got a lot more exciting, didn't it?
