As part of Destiny's "Festival of the Lost" Halloween celebration are three new emotes available for purchase from the Eververse Trading Co. Unfortunately for last-gen players, one of those emotes won't be available on Xbox 360 and PS3.
In the Festival of the Lost FAQs, Bungie confirmed that the "Zombie Dance Emote" — the one that looks like Michael Jackon's "Thriller" dance — is "unavailable on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles." Even if you purchase this emote on PS4 or Xbox One first, it "will not be available on your character" if you boot up the last-gen version of the game.
The Zombie Dance Emote is by far the coolest of the three new ones, but it's also the most expensive at 700 Silver. It's unclear why this specific emote won't work on last-gen systems, but I'm going to guess some sort of memory issue or something. Or maybe Bungie just really wants you to upgrade to Xbox One or PS4 this year. In any case, last-gen players can still purchase the other two emotes: "Boo" (300 Silver) and "Monster Dance" (500 Silver).
