Larian Studios has been hard at work on their tabletop RPG dream-come-true, Divinity: Original Sin 2 for a long time now, and the latest Kickstarter update for the game has revealed a release date for the game. Divinity: Original Sin 2 will be releasing later this year on September 14th, 2017, and to celebrate the announcement, Larian Studios dropped a new Patch and a Kickstarter video explaining it all.
Here's the video:
The main highlights of the new patch are a new prelude, which offers a look at the game's tutorial level, as well as a new home base area, a flying ship called The Lady Vengeance (which was changed from The Hall of Echoes). There will also be a new companion relationship system that adds depth to how you interact with other characters, so keep a look out for that as well. The patch went live earlier today.
Divinity: Original Sin 2 is the largest RPG that Larian Studios has created thus far, and with the inclusion of the previously announced Game Master Mode, it's looking like 2017 is not done dishing out great game releases. Divinity: Original Sin 2 will release in full later this year on Steam and GOG.com exclusively (at least for now) on PC.
