The next Assassin's Creed game has seen a number of rumors. First, it was called Assassin's Creed Empire and shown off with a leaked image that suggested an Egypt setting. Recently it's been detailed that the game will be called Assassin's Creed Origins and will indeed be set in Egypt.
Additional details have stated that the game will be less linear and more focused on exploration. The game's open world will be partially explored by ship and will have players traveling between Egypt and Greece. Of course, the ships will bring back naval battles – because if you have ships, you should battle them.
An alleged image of Assassin's Creed Origins has surfaced (on Reddit) showing off the game's naval scene.
In addition to the image, the game was detailed to feature a revamped version of the Assassin's Creed Anvil Engine. The revamps should bring more "seamless transitions between cities/sea." The leaker offered their take on the game, saying Origins' atmosphere is a mix between "traditional" Assassin's Creed and Assassin's Creed 4.
It was suggested that the game will begin being promoted by Ubisoft at the end of the month, with a full reveal at E3 2017.
