The classic superhero beat-em-ups, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 1 and 2, are coming to the PS4 and XBox One.
Back in the ancient, nostalgia-ridden era of gaming where the Playstation 2 and XBox reigned supreme, Activision and Marvel teamed up to give us one of the greatest beat-em-up game series' ever released, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance. The original was released in 2006, with its sequel coming three years later. The games were a logical entry into the Marvel mythos of gaming considering the success of the previous titles of the same genre, X-Men: Legends 1 and 2. Both MUAs allowed you to create a team of up to four characters, with a total of 25 characters with which to mix and match (not to mention the DLC additions for XBox which included eight additional playable toons, both heroes AND villains), allowing for near endless replayability.
Recently, a Taiwanese rating has been issued for both titles to be released on the PS4 and XBox One. Unfortunately, the site is not in english, so if you can't read the language, you probably just have to take our word for it. There's still no date for the re-release in the states, but if this is anything to go by, hopefully we'll get the opportunity to rediscover the classic series.
