If a game is about Pokémon does automatically make it sell well? Not always, but it certainly helps.
A year ago we saw the release of Pokémon X and Y, but before it released there were pre-orders. Within two days of pre-orders being available for purchase Pokémon X and Y pre-sold 260,000 copies in Japan.
What about Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire this year? Well, the pre-orders are fell short of Pokémon X and Y's pre-purchase numbers by 21,000. That's right, regardless of all these people showing up to buy Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire – it didn't outsell its predecessor in two days.
The official figure is 239,000 pre-orders sold in the first two days.
Do you think Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will sell more than X and Y or not? Let me know!
