Rose Colored Gaming is working on the handheld emulator of your dreams

Raspberry Pi included

Rose Colored Gaming has been working on a new handheld that will be the mobile emulator of your dreams, and it channels the classic Game Boy look to up the nostalgia factor by 10.

The handheld is called Pascali, and it is harnessing the power of the Raspberry Pi, one of the best emulating systems available (even if it wasn't built with emulation in mind).

Pascali will not be held down by a dozen different circuit boards and cartridge slots buried in it; it's simple and sleek. It will use a common ground PCB (no Tact switches – perfect for Game Boy like products) and features 6 buttons with two back buttons function as shoulder buttons. The device will be able to output to a TV via HDMI and connect to your PC through USB ports.

Best part? it emulates over 10 systems at full speed:

  • NES
  • SNES
  • MAME (Various Arcade)
  • CPS-1
  • NEO-GEO
  • GameBoy
  • GameBoy Color
  • GameBoy Advance
  • GameGear
  • Turbo/PC – Engine
  • Sega Master System
  • Sega Genesis
  • DOS
  • Apple 2
  • Atari 2600
  • And more yet to be revealed!

Personalized etching options for the device itself on the front MIGHT be an option.

This product is still in its design phase.
