CD Projekt RED has been hard at work on their mysterious RPG, Cyberpunk 2077, that has been detailed to be "really, really, really f**king badass." The last thing we heard about the game was that someone stole internal files for the game and held it for ransom. The files contained information that was "old and largely unrepresentative of the current vision for the game," according to CD Projekt Red.
Besides that, we have only heard that the promotional materials for the game are ready and the reveal will come as a "surprise."
Now, there's new information on the horizon and unlike everything mentioned before, it's not official information from CD Projekt Red. A leaker (who remained anonymous as to not risk employment) has come out to detail that Cyberpunk 2077 will be huge, something we knew, and will feature some things from the Witcher, as well as destructible areas.
Here's what they said:
- The world of Cyberpunk 2077 will be almost 4 times bigger than Witcher 3 & its DLC’s.
- Cyberpunk 2077 will be using The Witcher 3 seasonal system for generating maps on massive scales.
- The game will have dynamic destructible areas.
The leaker provided an example of the 'dynamic destructible areas' saying that if a gamer engages in a firefight and the surrounding area is damaged, robots or androids might appear later repairing or rebuilding the damaged building.
Previous information detailed that the game would feature seamless multiplayer and 'live' cities. These 'live' cities were lead by a header titled 'City Creation.' If cities are being actively destroyed and rebuilt, the leaker's dynamic destruction could fall into that category.
As with all leaks and rumors, take it with a heap of salt.
