Conan Exiles has made some serious progress on the visual front over the last few months, and Funcom is just about ready to release the game into Early Access. While that release is still about two months away, the developers are comfortable enough to show off the game running in real time in its moment-to-moment gameplay. The developers held the game's first ever livestream earlier today (the replay is embedded above), and the game looks fantastic.
The desert is sprawlingly ominous and a perfect setting for a Survival game. The genre has a tendency to produce games with some of the most incredible staying power there is, and so far Conan Exiles looks like it will do just that. After releasing an all-new trailer last week, Funcom is confident that everything is heading in the right direction.
Funcom CEO Rui Casais said:
"We are all greatly encouraged by the fantastic reception we saw for last week’s trailer and we cannot wait to finally show the game live. With Early Access only two months away this feels like a natural time to start showing the game to the community following its development, and hopefully we can also get some valuable feedback we can address before Early Access starts."
Conan Exiles releases into Early Access on January 31st, 2017 and Game Preview access on Xbox One in Spring 2017.
