World of Warcraft Mists of Pandaria Monk Class Details

The new World of Warcraft expansion introduces a brand new class to the already extensive list of 10 classes – the Monk. This class is deeply rooted in martical arts, though they can also use staves, fist weapons, one handed axes and more. Interestingly, they have no auto-attack at all, focusing instead on using abilities constantly (a nod at Star Wars; The Old Republic's battle system). These are not a hero class and start out at level 1. They can have one of three roles in combat, depednant, much like the druid, on spec;

    Brewmaster: Tank
    Mistweaver: Healer
    Windwalker: Melee DPS

And if you think Kung Fu Panda clones were enough, wait til you get a load of the other races able to be monks:  draenei, dwarf, gnome, human, night elf, blood elf, orc, tauren, troll, and undead. The other races I sort of understand, but Tauren and Draenei seem a little chunky to be as nimble as a monk… Who am I kidding, the Pandaren are huge.

Much like druids, monks will benefit from leather armor with agility or intellect, depending on their build, and will depend on Chi (energy) for class-specific moves such as Jab and Roll. Jab will generate either Light or Dark Force, which can be expended to perform other moves.
