The Elder Scrolls Online: Talking PvP, first-person mode, and Xbox One/PS4 with ZeniMax Online

While we had already seen The Elder Scrolls Online prior to E3 (and talked with Director Matt Firor), the highly anticipated MMORPG was still one of the games at the show I was most eager to get my hands-on. Just before I dove into the continent of Tamriel, I spoke to ZeniMax Online's Brian Wheeler, who is serving as the lead PvP designer for The Elder Scrolls Online.

Despite his focus on PvP, Wheeler was able to divulge a ton of information to us regarding the game, which will release on both consoles and PC/Mac. The most intriguing bit was that the console experience on PS4 and Xbox One will be of the same quality as that offered on PC and Mac.

"We are not trying to skimp or compromise on quality across any platform," lead PvP designer Brian Wheeler told GameZone. "It's going to be the same AAA experience whether you're Xbox, PlayStation, PC, or Mac."

Of course, this was just one of the many topics we discussed with Wheeler. Check out the video above for more information regarding PvP, cross-platform play, and the newly implemented first-person mode. The Elder Scrolls Online is being published by Bethesda and developed in-house by ZeniMax Online Studios. Unfortunately, there is currently no release date or pricing details, but we did ask!
