CD Projekt RED not considering next-gen remakes of The Witcher 1 or 2

With The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Geralt will make the jump to next-gen. And though you don't really need to play the first two games to have an understanding of this last game in the trilogy, I'm sure there are plenty of people who want to experience, or maybe re-experience, CD Projekt RED's amazing RPG on next-gen systems as well.

Unfortunately, as of right now there are no plans to bring the previous two Witcher games to Xbox One or PS4.

"I don't think so," lead producer Piotr Krzywonosiuk said when I asked him if they are considering a remake of the first two games. "All of our focus is on [The Witcher 3] Wild Hunt."

"And then we have some other things going on," he said, "one of them being Cyberpunk. So I don't think it's in the plans."

Speaking of Cyberpunk 2077, Kryzwonosiuk said development of the game is going "great," but couldn't offer any further details on the status of the sci-fi role-playing game. "We're focusin gon The Witcher 3 right now, but Cyberpunk is fine."

As someone who has not played the previous two Witcher games, but interested in Wild Hunt, I'd love the opportunity to play them for the first time on Xbox One or PS4. Would you?
