Fallout 4 Guide: A renewable way to create your own Adhesive

Yeah, we said it - renewable.

If you have been testing out your crafting abilities in Fallout 4, you have probably realized that adhesive is a pretty popular ingredient. If that wasn't annoying enough, you hardly ever find adhesive when you need. Well, Redditor jredwards (via FO4 subReddit) has made a huge discovery in the world of crafting… you can create a adhesive using a renewable source!

To get started, you'll need a couple of items…

Ingredients:

  • Three mutfruit
  • Three corn
  • Three tato
  • One purified water

Where to get the ingredients:

Obtaining the mutfruit, corn and tato: Long story short, tato can be found at Abernathy Farm, TenPines Bluff, and GreyGarden. Note that GreyGarden will be your best bet for finding the items, there a greenhouse there that has tato, corn and mutfruit for free. It's not even considered stealing when you take them. You can find GreyGarden between Diamond City and Lexington.

*Pro Tip: Taking the tato, corn and mutfruit obtained at GreyGarden and planting them in your own settlement will create a renewable source for these items – meaning you'll never have to go out looking for them again.

Obtaining purified water: You can build your own water purifier or get Codsworth to give one (it's appears to be on a timer with him).

How to make the adhesive:

Once you have procured said items, check your cooking menu for a recipe called 'Vegetable Starch' Cook up the vegetable starch with the required ingredients, once you have vegetable paste… break it down.

Broken down vegetable paste will yield five adhesive.
