Mega Man Network Transmission – GC – Preview

E3 2003 – First
Look

Mega Man is
celebrating his 15th birthday this year by releasing his first game
on the Gamecube called Mega Man Network Transmission. Mega Man Network
Transmissions takes place between Mega Man Battle Network and Mega Man Battle
Network 2. A month after Mega Man Battle Network a new threat known as the “Zero
Virus” is introduced, and it’s Mega Man and Lan’s duty to stop it.

Mega Man Network
Transmission once again uses the chip technology to upgrade abilities and
weapons, and offers over 100 chips to fully customize your character. You’ll
also be required to use some strategy to solve puzzles that keep you from moving
along. There are even some secret characters hidden within the network.

The cel-shaded
look of Network Transmission is crisp, clean, and colorful. The backgrounds are
beautiful and fun to look at, and the characters and enemies on screen look
straight out of a comic book.

Mega Man Network
Transmission looks to please fans of the Mega Man Network series as it tells
more of the story. No word on if it will be linkable with the Gameboy Mega Man
Network titles yet, but keep looking for more on Network Transmissions. Right
now it’s scheduled to come out in June.
