HASBRO
INTERACTIVE’S B-17 FLYING FORTRESS II: The MIGHTY EIGHTH LANDS IN TIME FOR
HOLIDAY GIFT GIVING

B-17
FLYING FORTRESS II sets the standard by which all flight simulators will be
compared

BEVERLY,
MASS (December 6, 2000) – Hasbro Interactive has announced that B-17 FLYING
FORTRESS II: THE MIGHTY EIGHTH, the much-anticipated World War II combat
flight simulator CD-ROM game, will ship on December 15th — just in time for
the holidays.

Published
under the MicroProse brand of award-winning strategy and simulation games,
B-17 FLYING FORTRESS II: THE MIGHTY EIGHTH turns the clock back to the
early1940s when iron men braved the skies of war-torn Europe to knock out the
production capacity of the Third Reich war machine.

The
legendary B-17 Flying Fortress was flown by the United States Army Air Corp’s
8th Bomber Command, otherwise known as the "Mighty Eighth." These
elite airmen were responsible for flying over the most dangerous skies of
occupied Europe in daylight, hitting specific military targets with pinpoint
accuracy. Always under massive attack by the Luftwaffe, the Mighty Eighth flew
in strategic defensive formations in order to fight their way in and come out
alive.

B-17
FLYING FORTRESS II: THE MIGHTY EIGHTH promises to recreate the WWII air war
experience of a B-17 pilot and crew.

The
game’s high-resolution sound and 3-D graphics bring the following adventures
to life:

Commanding the supreme daylight bomber of WWII

Taking control of every aspect of the game by flying all ten crew positions
(pilot, co-pilot, navigator, bombardier/chin turret gunner, radio operator,
engineer/top turret gunner, port waist gunner, starboard waist gunner,
ball-turret gunner and tail gunner)

Locating and bombing strategic targets

Defending the "flying fortress" from furious attacks.

Breathtaking
air combat sequences, accurately modeled interiors and cockpits, rich sound
environments and state-of-the art atmospheres translate B-17 FLYING FORTRESS
II: THE MIGHTY EIGHTH into the most realistic WWII combat flight simulator.

Hasbro
Interactive’s B-17 FLYING FORTRESS II: THE MIGHTY EIGHTH is compatible with
Microsoft Windows 95/98 platforms.
