Boss Guide: How to beat the Corrupted Custodian (The Foundry)
We're in search of the final heart stone within The Foundry. Luckily, its not too far from the guardian we're attempting to wake. Let Karn toss you over the grating found in the guardian's area, then throw the switch to bring your custodian along for the ride. Clear out the yellow stones in the square room you find, then drop the custodian in a puzzle hole and follow the lights up to a minor climbing section. After some pillar hopping and wall running, you'll find the heart suspended above the room. Jump and use the death grip to knock it down, but something is wrong… looks like our Custodian is Corrupted! Time to take this baddie down!
The Corrupted Custodian has a few basic moves, and defeating it is just a matter of constantly dodging its attacks. When it goes to a big overhead smash or massive hand clap, simply jump back or to the side to dodge, then move in with a big attack. Occasionally it will recoil to launch a breath attack, but just sidestep and keep on the pressure, using any special attacks or reaper abilities you think will help get the job done.
The most troublesome attack is the whirlwind, though it's easy to spot, as the custodian will wind up like its getting ready to throw a pitch. Start dodging and don't stop. Assuming you cleared the room of yellow rock, you'll have plenty of maneuverability.
Destroy the custodian, return with the Heart Stone, and prepare for a surprise…
