Disney Interactive has confirmed Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX will be coming to the North America in fall of this year. The collection was first announced as a Japanese-exclusive, but it was widely expected to come stateside. For those unfamiliar, Kingdom Hearts takes characters and environments from popular Disney franchises, like Aladdin and Pinocchio, and combines them with a story that involves the character of Sora searching for his lost friends.
Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX is a compilation of HD versions of Kingdom Hearts Final Mix and Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories. I'm especially excited for Chain of Memories as it was first released as a Game Boy Advance title and then brought over to the PlayStation 2. Unfortunately, I never had a chance to check it out; but, now with it coming to the PS3 I'll experience it in full HD graphics — with trophy support. In addition to these two playable titles, the 1.5 ReMIX will also include HD cinematic story videos from Kingdom Hearts 358/2, a game only released on the Nintendo 3DS.
Any Kingdom Hearts fan should appreciate this compilation. Unless you manage to own all of those above consoles, it's likely you haven't experienced the full story yet. Hopefully, that will all change come this fall.
