Then we will finally see if this "souls" game with a different name will be a "System seller". I doubt it. Im sure it will sell well given the fact that the AAA PS4 library is very limited right now and will still be so in Feb. The fact that no Souls game has ever sold over a million units on a platform doesn't leave a lot of promise of being a system seller.

Xbox LIVE not "A LIVE"

"The last time", until next time. The fact that PSN is and has been the easiest to take down and takes the longest to get back up and going makes it the most vulnerable online gaming service, also making it a magnet for hackers and hacktivists to copycat. A LIVE was targeted also and so was another service, you don't here about that because they were only down for a short period not a whole day.

I agree lol, Sony had a great blueprint for a decently powerful gaming console and a great launch. And I only see Sony getting stronger through this gen and beyond. MS hurt themselves a lot with the less "powerful" console and all the initial bad policy choices and price. The XB1 and MS are slowly making amends and making the right choices mostly lol. I shouldn't neglect the fact that the PS4 is just a great game console and that has a lot to do with it selling well.

First and foremost because Sony is an established worldwide brand in electronics and Gaming and the PS4 is a good console. In detail I think the overall launch and scale of release for the PS4 helped. You also have to account for the crossover Xbox owners that pre ordered PS4's in retaliation for Microsoft's always-on. DRM, Kinect fiasco they were rolling out with Xbox One upon the reveal. Simply put when Microsoft shot themselves in the foot at the Xbox One reveal and E3 it opened the door big time for Sony and the PS4. The PS4 would be successful either way but the competition between the consoles would be much closer I think if things would have started different on Xbox's side. If from the get go Xbox One didn't have talked about been ultimately reversed feared and hated policies and higher price due to Kinect and was launched in the same amount of territories at the same time as the PS4 I think it would have taken a bit more of a chunk out of the PS4's sales. The PS4 has faster RAM and a slightly better GPU, XB1 has the more custom architecture and a slightly faster CPU. Children will argue resolution and FPS and that maybe has effected sales somewhat but PC's offer more than either console can in that area, and historically the most powerful console doesn't always sell better look at the Wii for example. And recently the resolution/fps gap seems to be closing with more and more games on XB1 matching the PS4's performance. Biased fans will say because devs are gimping the PS4 versions to match the XB1 but already in this gen if a game can do 1080p/60fps on PS4 and the XB1 version only does 900p/30fps we haven't seen studios gimp the PS4 versions to match the 900p/30fps of the XB1.So the takeaway is that studios are optimizing each version to be the best version on that platform that it can be. So overall I think its a mixture of Sony's brilliant PR and scale and size of launch mixed with Microsoft's total self triggered implosion with mishandling and launch of the XB1. But I foresee the XB1 picking up in sales more and more especially with the price drop and the GPU boost and DX12 coming in the future to help a bit with graphical fidelity of multiplats on the XB1 coming up to par with their PS4 brethren. It's already happened with just the 10%GPU boost from the Kinect with Destiny and Wolfenstein the new order.

Im going to say 95% of the people that are going to vote already own a PS4 or want a PS4 eventually making this poll quite unbalanced and biased....
It may sell a million but that in no way is guaranteed, remember neither Dark Souls 1 or 2 sold a million on PS3 and over 80 million people owned PS3's at the time. Only 10 million people own PS4's as of now and likely only 11-12 million will own PS4's by release date. So if Dark Souls 1-2 was made from the same "epic" company and director-producer(1)/supervisor(2) and couldn't sell 1 million copies with an install base roughly 80% larger than the PS4's, I wouldn't be over confident that Bloodborne will easily do so. I understand your gusto and zeal for the Producer and company and Bloodborne but other than buzz and Pr what do you have to go on that says to you or factually points to it selling over a million copies???

Im not putting down PS4 or Bloodborne im just stating its unlikely this will be a real system seller. Yeah lots of Souls fans but keep in mind neither Dark Souls 1 or Dark Souls 2 sold even 1 million copies on PS3. You usually gotta ship and sell more than 1 million copies to be a "system seller".

I still really doubt it will be a system seller. You know the type of people that are talking about Bloodborne?... People that already own PS4's mainly. Hard to be a system seller when the majority of your player base already owns the console. PS4 sales will continue to be good and there really isn't any way to know how many console will have been sold due to Bloodborne's release. We can wait and see if in the month of release PS4 sales significantly go up but that also can depend on other releases in that same month or incentives. . Bloodborne looks great but again 95% of the people excited about this game are Sony fans and PS4 owners, just look at the articles and comments sections on anything to do with this game nothing but 95% Sony owners and fans. It's clear that if your going to spend $460 to play this game you were going to end up with a PS4 anyways at some point or you have terrible decision making skills when it comes to money.

Are you crying about it? I'm sorry. How can you blame and criticize Microsoft for doing what every platform does & tries to do? Microsoft didn't...
Yeah, this article wouldn't exist if Rise of the Tomb Raider were a PS4 exclusive I can almost bet on it. And there is no validity in saying MS comes off as a bully, both company's try to work out exclusive deals with pubs. Tomb Raider angel of darkness was not on Xbox, guardian of light wasn't on Mac or the Wii so Tomb Raider isn't always available to you depending on what plat you play on. MS needs to actually do more of this to boost their library and take some initiative and buy some of the struggling studios like Crytek and Capcom. Sony fans and the PS4 will do fine no matter what. MS needs all the help they can get. And I actually like what MS is doing with the XB1, the updates are rolling out monthly and the console itself is better and better each month.

Indies are cheaper to finance for Sony is the main reason I think, and a lot of indie devs would jump at a chance to have their game on a successful console like the PS4.
