I think it's an interesting move so close to a new console launch. With the standard of game pricing being $60 now due to "production costs" I'm wary for the next gen pulling that stunt and pricing 70 even 80 dollar games to justify all the extra work for the motion sensors etc, on each system. It would be amazing if a company decided to actually make cheaper games.

I remember avoiding 14 like the plague. And when I heard about the reboot I was annoyed it wasn't F2P. Now, I'm glad and it sounds amazing!

The interesting point for me is that Popcap decided to increase their price tag while simultaneously pulling the one thing the last game was built on. Single player tower defense that increased in difficulty and had it's fun in new settings and enemies. Seems to me that for the price increase, it has less content. Games that are missing one or the other in this current age of gaming really have to warrant it. Sure it's cheaper than normal games, but it's not cheaper than normal Popcap games. I think most fans of the series will probably pass on this. I think they shot themselves in the foot with this one.

At least you didn't drop over 100 on a full set of 8th edition books and still never play! ugh. Couldn't even ebay them lol. I'm gonna pick this one up, sounds like a fun time and thankfully alot less expesive.

So if I play this game alone, and it sucks, the dev response will be "working as intended?" =P As long as I get a pistol I'm happy.

Luckily for me I was heavy into consoles when many of these games launched so I picked up some sweet sweet new games to play now that I'm back gaming on PC. (thanks red rings!) I got alot out of the sale, Deus Ex (thanks Mike S. for the tip), FTL, Magicka among others. But I noticed alot of repeats, and for some reason, alot of fluctuating prices. Overall I enjoyed the experience and can't wait for Xmas!

I remember when Gears of War came out and people did that, only to realize they had to wait for the round to end. Did they learn their lesson, play as a team, and take their time instead of running headfirst into a stream of bullets? Nope. They just found out where the bow spawned. Made for a fun game of "kneecap the moron and wait for his friends to come"

As an MMO gamer it took me a long time to believe these studies weren't just counting female characters, but I think that perhaps it's been like this and the culture just tried to hide it. I've known tons of women who played games. Played EQ with my sis back at launch, and my wife played Zelda since back in the days. From the below comments though you can see it's still slightly "taboo" lol. Hopefully it becomes a non issue soon and we can find a new group to pick on. Like people who still like Tetris, yuck! Get with 3d already!
