With Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell sending players into the pits of hell on a rescue mission, Deep Silver and Volition saw this as a perfect opportunity to introduce new wild-and-crazy weapons. Meet the Seven Deadly Weapons — a series of legendary weapons in Gat Out of Hell that embody the Seven Deadly Sins: Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy, and Pride.
"Each weapon is obtained in a unique way that was unique and specific to the Sin that they try to embody," explained Deep Silver Volition associate producer Kate Nelson. For example, when using the Armchair-A-Geddon (the embodiment of Sloth, which fits into the rifle slot), Johnny or Kinzie can be seen yawning, or looking at their watch, or doing some other animation that plays up to the lazyness of the Sloth Sin.
It's a "happy accident", perhaps, that Saints Row's weapon inventory wheel allows for seven slots. Seven slots for seven sins. As such, each of these Seven Deadly Weapons are specifically designed to fill one of those slots: Melee, Pistol, SMG, Shotgun, Rifle, Explosive, and Special. This means you'll actually be able to have all Seven Deadly Weapons at your disposal and quickly accessible in your load-out at once.

Ark of the Covenant – (The embodiment of Wrath in the explosive slot)
Suck in the souls from your enemies and then launch them at the rest. It's a win-win.
Boom Chicka – (The embodiment of Lust in the shotgun slot)
Nothing says come hither more than Boom Chicka, the sexiest gun in existence.
Diamond Sting – (The embodiment of Greed in the SMG slot)
This weapon propels wages at an incredible rate of fire, turning victims into a shower of wealth.
Also announced today, Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell will release one week earlier then expected, and will now be available on January 20, 2015.
