Xbox One owners looking to celebrate the launch of Sunset Overdrive with fellow gamers should head over to their local Microsoft Store.
Starting at 10:00pm on Monday, October 27, all 104 Microsoft Stores will host in-store events with pre-order exclusives and giveaways, such as the Xbox One Special Edition Sunset Overdrive Bundle, Microsoft Store gift cards, and a trip for two to visit developer Insomniac Studios. In addition, the first 50 customers at each full-line store and the first 25 at each specialty store to pick up their copy of the game will receive Sunset Overdrive swag.
Adding to the excitement, six select Microsoft Stores will host full Sunset Overdrive-themed events with "carnival atmosphere" representing Sunset City's Wonderton Land. The party will start at 10:00pm and go until 1:00am local time on October 27 at the following locations:
- Bellevue Square Mall (Bellevue, WA)
- The Streets at Southpoint (Durham, NC)
- Westfield Century City (Los Angeles, CA)
- Dadeland Mall (Miami, FL)
- Mall of America (Bloomington, MN)
- Metropolis at Metrotown (Vancouver, Canada)
As a reminder, pre-ordering Sunset Overdrive through the Microsoft Store will get you a $10 gift card, and the exclusive weapons — Acordes de la Muerte and The Hangover — as an added bonus to the Day One Edition. Lastly, those who pre-order the Xbox One Special Edition Sunset Overdrive Bundle will receive an exclusive white controller holder.
