Sunset TV is evolving with the launch of Sunset Overdrive

Learn more about Sunset Overdrive's dynamic music system

After 25 weeks, the Sunset TV series that we've grown to love is coming to an end. Well, kind of. It's actually more of an evolution that'll take place with the launch of Sunset Overdrive next week.

As detailed by Insomniac Games' Brandon Winfrey in this week's final episode, you'll be able to watch new Sunset TV episodes (yes, the name is staying the same) from stores located within Sunset City. These billboards, located mostly near faction bases, will stream the latest episode.

The new Sunset TV will still provide you with new regarding upcoming game updates and DLC, but it'll also incorporate all sorts of user-generated content, including game clips and art by the Sunset Overdrive community. There's also weekly individual challenges (killing 500 OD with fire damage, achieving a combo of 1,000, etc.) that reward you with cash and overdrive, as well as community challenges where players must work together to achieve a common goal.

In addition to providing us with a glimpse at the future of Sunset TV, this episode also discusses the game's dynamic music system which plays into the momentum based gameplay of Sunset Overdrive.
