It's that time of the week Guardians. The time when we're paid a visit from the loveable yet completely creepy Xur, Agent of the Nine. This time he's not only carrying an assortment of armors and a weapon, but also the ability to upgrade a number of your Exotic weapons.
If you recall, the recent update to Destiny changed the way you upgrade Exotic items. Ascendant Materials have been removed from the game, and in their place are Exotic Shards. These Exotic Shards can be obtained through dismantling unwanted Exotics, or by purchasing them from Xur for seven (7) Strange Coins, making him even more valuable.
You can find Xur in the Hall of Guardians, near the Crucible NPCs.
